Welcome to your corporate partners & associates in Dubai
Every UAE business within the scope of Corporate Tax must register with the Federal Tax Authority, including businesses that expect to pay no tax. Missing the registration deadline carries a fixed penalty of AED 10,000. The good news: the FTA offers a way to have that penalty waived.
A business that registers after its deadline is liable to an administrative penalty of AED 10,000. Registration deadlines depend on when the business was established or, for existing companies, on the month their licence was issued, so they differ between businesses.
Under an FTA initiative, the late registration penalty can be waived or refunded if the business files its first Corporate Tax return, or annual declaration for exempt persons, within seven months from the end of its first tax period. That is two months earlier than the normal nine-month filing deadline.
We handle registrations, first returns and waiver timing. See our Corporate Tax registration and return filing services.
